Sets up, adjusts, and operates numerical control magnetic or punched tape controlled machine tools.

CNC Programmer

Writes computer programs to direct machines to cut, shape, or form metal parts.

Deburring Specialist

Grinds parts to remove rough edges, excess materials, or burrs from internal and external surfaces, and/or sharpen edges or corners prior to assembly.

Designer (CAD CAM)

Uses computers to assist in design and manufacturing from conceptual stages to final design through analysis, planning, design, construction, and applications of manufacturing tools, methods and procedures.

EDM Set-Up & Operator

Sets up and operates one or more electrical discharge machines to shape metal work pieces to specifications.

Engineer – Manufacturing

Plans, designs, and coordinates integration of machinery and equipment into manufacturing process. Develops models of alternate processing methods to test feasibility of new applications of system components

Engineer – Processor

Determines dimensions and sequences and/or programs required to manufacture parts. Determines routing of job through shop.

Gauge & Instrument Inspector

Inspects and adjusts gauges, measuring instruments, and testing equipment for conformance to blueprint specifications. Examines gauges or measuring instruments for wear or adjustment.

Machine Operator

Semi-skilled operators place materials in machine tools and monitors gauges to make sure the machine is working properly.

Machine Repairer

Repairs and maintains mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components of production machines and equipment following blueprints and specifications.

Machinist

Sets up, adjusts, and operates manual machine tools to make machine parts.

Plant Manager

Directs and coordinates activities related to the production of company products.

Production Control Coordinator

Through supervision and coordination, establishes efficient use and scheduling of parts, materials, machines, sequences of operations and workflow.

Production Machine Operator

Operate one type of machine that has been previously set up.

Project Manager

Plans, directs, and coordinates concurrent activities to ensure projects are completed within established timeframes and financial constraints.

Quality Technician

Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process. Compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.

Special Machine Builder

Fits and assembles components to construct customized machines and equipment.

Supervisor/ Foreman

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in production machining or metal work pieces. Interprets company policies for workers. Enforces safety regulations.

Tool Maker - Jigs, Fixtures, Gages

Analyzes specifications, lays out metal stock, sets up and runs machine tools, and fits and assembles parts to make and repair metalworking dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machinists' hand tools.
