Parts Tool and Die (PTD) Expands Advanced Machining Capabilities with Two New Okuma Platforms
To support growing demand for complex, tight-tolerance, production-critical components, PTD has expanded its machining capacity with the addition of two industry-leading Okuma machines: the LU7000 EX Turning Center and the Millac 1052VII Vertical Machining Center.
Okuma LU7000 EX – High-Precision Turning for Large, Complex Parts
The Okuma LU7000 EX delivers twin-spindle, twin-turret performance for true simultaneous machining—reducing cycle times while maintaining exceptional accuracy and repeatability. Designed for demanding applications, this machine excels at large-diameter and long-shaft components up to 35” diameter × 78” length. This application has ideal use for aerospace, defense, energy, and advanced industrial components. PTD is proud to own 1 of only 2 LU7000 EX machines in the United States.

Okuma Millac 1052VII – Large-Format Milling with Power and Accuracy
Built for stability and precision, the Okuma Millac 1052VII provides a large machining envelope with high-performance cutting capability. With X/Y/Z travels of 3050 × 850 × 750 mm, it supports complex geometries, structural components, and large machined assemblies with confidence.
