Welcome to WMNTMA

The Western Massachusetts Chapter of the National Tooling and Machining Association (WMNTMA) and its more than 60 member-companies are committed to developing new technology, providing applications engineering support, implementing sustainable workforce development strategies, enhancing employee skills and developing business partnerships.

A dense concentration of companies, industry networks and academic support programs enhance the precision machining environment in Western Massachusetts in which manufacturers are united in working for innovation, new technologies and partnerships.

Upcoming Events

On August 13, WMNTMA members and guests gathered for the WMNTMA Annual Summer BBQ, a fundraising event benefiting the Larry Maier Memorial Education Fund. Larry Maier, a former two-term President of the WMNTMA Board of Directors, was committed to promoting awareness of career opportunities within the manufacturing industry among students. The fund was established following Larry’s passing to honor that commitment and further its mission.

Attendees were welcomed by Westfield River Brewing at their red barn and patio in Southwick, and North Elm Butcher Block provided a barbecue buffet that was enjoyed by all.

WMNTMA Awarded Most Improved Chapter!

I’m proud to share that our chapter was recognized as Most Improved Chapter out of all NTMA chapters across the country. What’s been most meaningful to me is that other chapter leaders are now asking what we are doing—and the honest answer is that there’s no special formula. We have a strong Board of Directors that works together, and we have members who consistently show up, engage, and support one another. That combination matters. Please keep showing up. The benefits of NTMA membership are real, and together we are far more powerful than any one of us alone. In the coming weeks, we’ll be highlighting some of the benefits and opportunities that make membership worthwhile—especially for those who get involved. You are leading by example on a national stage, and I encourage you to invite colleagues to join and participate. Thank you for being part of what we’re building.
